I started my career in tech as a UI developer, working with creative and technical team members building out application websites for an online lending broker.
Over time, my role morphed into one where I was the only team member doing user needs analysis, working with development on solutions and testing with users to get feedback and acceptance with the customer.
Since that time, I have been an advocate for the user's voice while making software and business processes less error-prone and easier to use.
Getting my Masters degree in human-computer interaction and design solidified theory behind toolsets I have been using for years while learning new approaches and methods for gaining the voice of the user.
Growing up in Southern California I surfed, rode mountain bikes and snowboarded any chance I could. Nowadays, when I'm not making pizza or hanging out with my cats, I'm in the woodshop turning old wood into bowls and one of a kind art. During the long summer days, you can find me hiking to "Top of the World" in Laguna Beach or summiting Mount San Jacinto near Idyllwild.
